From 1992-1994, I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, as a foreign affairs officer and worked extensively with Japanese government officials and the local and international media to stabilize public opinion toward the armed forces presence in the region. After being assigned to the Joint Public Affairs Office at Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan, I was promoted to Northern Bureau Chief and was directly responsible for all military and civilian public affairs activities within Northern Okinawa. While working with various IT departments, I spearheaded the design and development of newly patented technology that incorporated the project management concepts and techniques of planning, scheduling, project resource and budget estimation and reporting with Windows XP Professional Network Systems Design, Architecture Infrastructure and Active Directory Group Policies.
